Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen is an American professional poker player and is the husband of three-time WSOP Bracelet winner Kristen Foxen.

Prior to poker, he was a college football player for Boston College, where he played tight end. Interestingly, Foxen won the very first WSOP Circuit event he entered in May 2012 in New Orleans for $22,421.

He has come a long way since then, having recorded over $42 million in total live earnings which includes a plethora of first-place finishes.

Alex Foxen Poker History

Foxen's first recorded Hendon Mob cash was a victory on the WSOP Circuit in New Orleans for $22,421 in 2012.

Over the next half a decade, he would play mostly across the United States, but with trips to the Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the Czech Republic for EPT Prague.

He would make his first WSOP final table in 2017, before securing his first six-figure score at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in August of the same year.

Just four months later, Foxen had his first seven-figure score after a runner-up finish behind Ryan Tosoc in the Season XVI World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio. For his efforts, Foxen won $1,134,202.

Trips to Australia, Macau and Spain highlighted his 2018, with the six-figure scores starting to rack up, before a $2.1 million second-place finish in the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl V behind Isaac Haxton.

By now, Foxen was a regular on the high roller circuits, playing $25,000 and $50,000 tournaments all over the world.

December 2019 saw Foxen avenge memories of 2017, and win the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic

“It’s surreal – it’s kind of hard to put into words,” he told WPT.com. “It feels amazing. The last time I got to this spot I was a little bit disappointed in how I played heads-up. It’s just incredible to get the opportunity again and be fortunate enough to pull out the win.”

After the pandemic, Foxen played mostly on the PokerGO Tour in Las Vegas, with victories in the PokerGO Cup, PGT Aria High Roller Series and US Poker Open.

For all his Vegas results, for many years Foxen was a regular on the annual "Best Without a Bracelet" list, but that changed at the 2022 WSOP when he won the $250,000 Super High Roller.

“It really means a lot to me," he told PokerNews after adding over $4.5 million to his career earnings. "It’s kind of been a monkey on the back. I’ve always wanted a bracelet. I’ve had some close spots and always been disappointed … this feels like a really special one to get my first in."

Foxen followed this up two years later with an Online bracelet win before another marquee seven-figure bracelet-winning score at the WSOP Paradise. He won the $100,000 Triton Main Event for $3,850,000, defeating 182 players and adding a third bracelet.

Alex Foxen Family History

In 2022, Alex Foxen married fellow professional poker player Kristen Bicknell in Florida.

"We just had a nice little ceremony down in the Keys just this past weekend," Foxen told PokerNews. "It was great. It was really nice. Close friends and family. Couldn't be better."
