Meet the WSOP Thrill Team - In Depth
Without further ado, it’s time to meet the WSOP Thrill Team, one by one:
Patrik Antonius

Patrik Antonius is one of the greatest poker players to have ever picked up cards. Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Antonius is both feared and respected in equal measure, mostly because of his aggressive and unpredictable approach to the game.
In 2023, Antonius made headlines when he was involved in the largest cash game pot ever broadcast on a US live stream, winning $1,978,000 from the hand.
Antonius is approaching 30 cashes in live WSOP events, including a trio of final table appearances. The super-talented Finn is yet to win a gold WSOP bracelet in Las Vegas, but will be looking to win more than his fair share of virtual bracelets on the WSOP App.
Landon Tice

Landon Tice calls Boca Raton, Florida, home, although he can be spotted playing in card rooms up and down the country. Tice has more than 30 cashes on the WSOP live circuit, including a coveted gold WSOP Circuit ring, which he won in March 2023.
Tice’s three biggest live cashes to-date, all six figure scores, came in 2024. Despite his accomplishments, which are more than enough to make any player’s mouth water, Tice is still a player who is very much on the rise.
Tice is hungry for more poker jewelry, especially the virtual rings and bracelets you can win for free on the WSOP App.
Espen Jorstad

Espen Jorstad had a glowing reputation even before his incredible performances at the 2022 WSOP in Las Vegas. The Norwegian grinder won his first bracelet in the Tag Team event before going on to become the 2022 WSOP Main Event champion.
Far from a one-off, Jorstad went on to pick up yet more six and seven-figure scores in the years that followed.
Jorstad is a poker world champion and master of the game. It will take some beating if you find him on your WSOP Poker app tables.
Samantha Abernathy

Samantha Abernathy absolutely loves playing poker and interacting with her fellow poker players. Abernathy regularly makes final tables and has a six figure score to her name, making her a valued WSOP Thrill Team member.
The Las Vegas native enjoyed a breakout series at the 2021 WSOP, where she cashed in three tournaments, including the Main Event.
Ethan Yau

Ethan Yau is better-known to some by his nickname, "Rampage". When he is not getting his grind on in live poker events, Yau plays poker for free on the WSOP free poker app from his hometown of Quincy, Massachusetts.
Yau is a hugely popular player, so much as that he won Best Vlogger and Best Poker Personality at the 2022 Global Poker Awards. He is also supremely talented, with a WSOP bracelet and four WSOP Circuit rings to his name!
Both Yau and Abernathy began their illustrious poker careers by using the WSOP App; will you follow in their footsteps?
Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst needs no introduction. The New Yorker is not just one of the best female poker players of all time, but one of the game's greatest players, period.
The three-time WSOP bracelet winner is the first and only female player to be ranked number one in the world by the Global Poker Index.
Selbst retired as a professional poker player in 2018 to pursue a corporate job and start a family. However, in an interview with PokerNews, Selbst revealed that becoming a WSOP Thrill Team member has reignited her love for playing poker.
Honestly, I was just looking for an excuse to get back (to poker). I've been looking for an excuse to get back for a while. I've missed it.
- Vanessa Selbst
Adam Hendrix

Adam Hendrix first cashed in a live WSOP event in 2017 and has since racked up more than 80 in-the-money finishes. Hendrix hails from Anchorage, Alaska, but spends a large percentage of his time traveling the world playing in the biggest tournaments available.
Hendrix is doing something right. He’s amassed close to $7.5 million in live tournament winnings, picking up six figure scores in the States and beyond. He is the number one ranked player in Alaska.
When Hendrix does have some free time, he often kicks back and keeps his poker skills sharp by playing on the WSOP free poker app.
